Maggee Harrison moved to Bozeman in 2002 and worked at Eagle Mount as the Adaptive Horsemanship
Program Director from 2009 until her retirement in 2022. She grew up in northeast Connecticut on a
“mini-farm” and was an active 4-H member all the way through her senior year at the University of
Connecticut. Her life-long relationship with horses lead her to pursue her Master of Science focusing on
Large Animal Reproduction and Physiology.
She has significant graduate credits from George Mason University in pursuit of her Masters of
Education – Special Education. Prior to relocating to Bozeman she planned to pursue a career working
with middle schoolers with emotional disabilities because she believes that horses and being engaged in
the great outdoors are healing and restorative for so many individuals trying to find their place in the
world.
Maggee is an active member of PATH International, for whom she serves as a Site Visitor and Mentor,
and she holds her Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialists in Mental Health and
Learning credentials from PATH.
