We are truly grateful to our long-time board member and past board chair Dennis Aig, who rolled off the Board of Directors at the end of the year. Dennis joined the Windhorse Board in 2017 and served as its Chair from 2018 to 2021. He saw Windhorse through some pivotal years, including the move into our permanent home after several years of moving our programs from barn to barn. Dennis has proven to be a wise, pragmatic and practical leader: his experiences on other boards and his years of service at MSU gave him a valuable perspective on our young nonprofit.
Dennis also retired from his position as Professor of Film and Photography at MSU in August of 2023, but he remains very much involved in filmmaking. He has produced and/or directed both documentary and dramatic productions for the Walt Disney Company, National Geographic Television, PBS, Lifetime Television, the Outside Channel, the History Channel, and the Independent Television Service (ITVS). Most recently he worked on the Montana-based documentary films Unbranded, Charged: The Eduardo Garcia Story, and Youth v Gov. He also was one of the producers of the dramatic film, Thine Ears Shall Bleed, which will be distributed later this year.
We will miss Dennis’ leadership at Windhorse and are so grateful for his service and support for the youth in our community. Thank you Dennis!
