We can’t help but smile at all these beautiful happy faces from our annual benefit event, Cowpokes and Cocktails. What an incredible night! The evening started with an amazing performance by Cory Furlong of RCR Horsemanship. Cory demonstrated Liberty work with horses, showing how you can form deep trust and partnership without using ropes, halters, or other aids. Later in the evening, Henry, a student at Windhorse, and his mother Margaret shared how working with horses at Windhorse has helped tremendously with Henry's mental health. His story was poignant and his delivery was hilarious. We are grateful to Henry for being brave and sharing his journey with us.
The live and silent auctions and the raffle contest to win the original artwork for our license plate by DG House were a huge success and donations raised from this event will help scholarships for students to attend classes and provide food, hay, and medical funds for the horses.
A big thank you to everyone who came and supported our mission. It was a night of great food, music, and connection. We are looking forward to another great event in 2025 -- stay tuned for the date!
